A Starry Log Cabin

Donna's Starry Log Cabin quilt is featured today.  She asked for feathers and that is what I did!

It was a lot of fun to quilt!  I just couldn't resist putting half a feather on either side of the little four patch border.  The stars were quilted in the ditch to make them pop a little.

This week we are on week 24 of the Hex-A-Thon.

  4. I like how your feathers have a little "feather" on the inside of the bigger one. I have drawn feathers like that but have not tried them in my quilting yet.

  7. HI Linda: Louisa just sent me a note about your blog. I loved doing this quilt - it was an idea from Louisa's Scrappy Club. Your beautiful quilting made the quilt "come alive"! I love the feathers. I was disappointed that I didn't think to use a plain backing as it would have been great to see the quilting on the back as well. Next time. Thanks again. Donna
