Gone to the Dogs

Let me tell you a story of my Stack n Whack quilt.  It started it's life as a sample at Katja's Store.  I stayed there for a few years, hanging out at the front of the store where unfortunately the sun faded it.  When I finally took it home, I felt it wasn't in good enough shape to give away, so I kept it.  I gave it to my dog Angel.

She loved and used her quilt daily.  Occasionally Blanche was allowed to sleep on a corner of it.  A couple of years ago Angel passed, and the quilt was relegated to the garage, to be used to keep the bikes from scratching the truck when they were loaded in the back.

Recently, Blanche and I were in the garage and there it was, laying on the floor oh so lonely. Blanche had to sit on it, as if to stake her claim on it.  The quilt is a little dirty, but still has so many great memories.  Quilts are meant to be used and this quilt certainly has been used!
