Farmer's wife blocks 11 & 12

These week my blocks went on vacation, without me!

The Broken Dishes and Broken Sugar Bowl blocks are nice and warm in the Dominican. Unfortunately I couldn't fit in Noeline's suitcase so she took my blocks instead.  I understand they had a great time!

Meanwhile back in Canada.....

My honey drove a group of Kamloops speed skaters to Ft. St. James for an outdoor race.  Ft. St. James is about 8 hours north west of Kamloops.  Luckily the weather wasn't too cold. However, it was a little snowy.
While there Doug had set out a quilt I had made him on a makeshift resting area.  Someone came by and asked if it was for sale.  He said there was no way he could ever sell one of the quilts I made for him.  Is he a keeper or what!

While you are here, don't forget to go to the previous post to enter to win a Bali Pop.

  1. think I would rather have the snow than the heat and humidity ... does that make me wiered?

  2. Lucky blocks - going on a vacation, however the snow and speed skating sounds much more fun and enticing ! I am having fun creating my set of blocks and am glad that I was motivated by you. Thank you Linda! I look forward to seeing your blocks every week. Ronnie

  3. Your blocks look like they are getting some good sun! So colorful and happy on vacation. YES, your husband is a keeper.. what a sweet thing to say! Boy, it sure looks cold!! But all of that snow does look like a lot of fun. :o)

  4. YES!!!!!! The man is a keeper. He could have follow-up his comment with - I can get you one of your own for a price. Brrrrrrrr Looks cold.

  5. Hey --- I`d say you`re pretty lucky....he KNOWS how much work goes into one!! The snow looks like fun, but I`d rather trail along with your blocks for some fun in the sun! Wanda N.
