Perfect Weather For Quilting

Yes, it is a little soggy in my neck of the woods, so no better time than now to spend time in the sewing room.

I am nowhere near making my goal of having my Trans Canada Blocks done by July 1st.  Canada's 150th birthday might just happen without my Canada quilt done.  Oh well!  This block is from Avonport NS.  Thanks to one of my many quilting angels for sending me the pattern.  I substituted the BC Coat of Arms and Name into the block to make it mine.  Great pattern for using the panels for the provinces.

This quilt is a charity quilt made at retreat with the help of a friend.  She had run out of projects to work on so I pulled out a few scraps I had taken along just incase, and with both of us working together, we each ended up with a quilt top.  Mine is finally finished and will go into the pile for Elizabeth Fry.

Linking up with Finish it up Friday.
