Grunge Hits The Spot

Moda has done it again.  Come out with another basic Grunge fabric that is too adorable.

The line is called Hits The Spot, and this pattern is High Rise by It's Sew Emma

It's that time of year when so many new fabrics are coming out.  To keep track of them all, I take a picture of the designer tag on the fabric bundle.  This tag really tells the story of Grunge.  This line will be in local stores this summer.

Marilyn brought this baby quilt to Guild last meeting.  It was made during my Kaleido-design class and is Marilyn's personal design.  Marilyn taught the very first quilting class that I took 35 years ago. It is always such an honour when she takes one of my classes.

On a personal note, this is me with my Mom, two Aunts and two cousins.  The Bailey Women!!!  We were attending a fun function at Falkland.  Each year on the first Sunday of May the community comes together to clean the local Cemetery.  We had relatives from Edmonton and Washington State, and all points in between, help out.  Afterwards the local women group provide us with a luncheon.  A great way to get some work done and visit with family, all at the same time.

Linking up with Finish It Up Friday!
