Style and Swing
I am so in love with this book!!!! Style and Swing by Susan Dunlop is my go to book right now. I've made just a "few" bags in the last couple of weeks.
A little bit of "INK" by Zen Chic, came home from Spring Market with a friend. I've been putting it to good use. I made the "Groovy Satchel" with every intention of giving it to my friend. Well, I fell so in love with the fabric that I had used for the flap, that I couldn't give it away. I just had to keep it for myself.
So, I had to make another one. I think my friend loves hers as much as I love mine.
And then because I just couldn't help myself, I went out to Katja's and picked up this Linen from a Sweetwater line. I had repurposed the hardware from a purse I had picked up at a thrift store, so the strap is a little narrower than the pattern. I also decided to put a zippered pocket in the lining so I'll have a safe place for my keys. The pattern is the "Pleated Shoulder Bag."
You can check out my purses at Katja's, and pick up the book while you are there. You won't be sorry!

Just A Few Sampler Quilts
Lately it seems I'm finishing up a lot of Sampler Quilts for my friends.
First up is Christina's Modern Sampler quilt made from my quilt-a-long. It will be given as a wedding gift this weekend.
Love the monogram block in the centre of the quilt. I'm sure the new bride and groom will love this quilt.
Betty's quilt is also from the Modern Sampler Quilt-A-Long. More traditional fabric makes for a lovely quilt.
What fun I had playing with this one!
Evelyn's Farmer's Wife is a beautifully pieced quilt. She said she used the templates from the book to make the blocks. I admire her patience. A year to piece, but so worth the effort.
I have been working on a few projects of my own, but have to save the finishes till the fabric is closer to release date. Oh so hard to do!
I have a little of the soon to be released Cotton + Steel in my possession, and am using these cute little Sloths in my next Rosette.
This handy "Seeyourstuff" bag is all loaded up to take camping this weekend. We are going to a fishing lake, and since I don't fish, I plan on doing a little sewing. Inside the bag is a little Zen Chic fabric that will be release this summer. "Paper" and "For You." A great combination that I can't wait to get sewing.

The New Hexagon Millefiore Rosette # 6
It's June, so it must be time for Rosette # 6.
I finally made a Rosette from the black and white Cotton + Steel! The typewriter print was screaming to be used so I changed the centre hexagon to accommodate it. On to the next Rosette. I do love being a pattern tester and working a little ahead.
Last weekend I was teaching my Lone Star class at Katja's.
Monday night I received this picture of Monette's star together already. Love those blue batiks with just a touch of purple.
I quilted this adorable quilt for Sylvia! Wavy lines, swirls and ferns. So much fun.
New fabrics have arrived via Spring Market. Yet to be released fabrics. Yummy!
Ink and Paper are in the house. What will they become? Hmmmmmmm! Stay tuned to find out.
