Cotton + Steel Part 2
First up is this adorable baby quilt made from "From Porto with Love." Whimsical prints that are perfect for a child's quilt. The pattern is from Debbie at A Quilter's Table. Click here for the link. Check out her other tutorials available here.
I am trying real hard to put labels on the quilts I make. All the C + S quilts were in my car on the way to be mailed, when I clicked this pic which shows the label and a bit of the quilting. It is just so hard as time passes to remember all the details. Is that a sign I'm getting old? Couldn't be!
This is assorted C + S leftovers from all the other quilts The pattern is from Scrap-Basket strips and squares. I used cottons, double gauze, rayon and lawn and they all played nice together.
I'm heading out camping so my go to paper piecing kit is ready to go. Nothing like EPP by the fire.

It is funny when I first started quilting I did not even name my quilts. Then I started to name them. Then I started to label them. Now I have both stopped labeling or naming them. I think I am going backwards rather then forwards. I think I really need to think again about putting labels on them as that adds something special to them.

I'm thinking you might be on to something Linda... But you've got a long way to go. And piles of quilts to make. As always I enjoy your blog and quilts. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteAnother line up of pretty quilts. Have fun camping!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a sign of having too many projects going at one time (at least that's my problem, when trying to remember the details).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I have such a hard time labeling my finishes too.
