Style and Swing

I am so in love with this book!!!!  Style and Swing by Susan Dunlop is my go to book right now. I've made just a "few" bags in the last couple of weeks.

A little bit of "INK" by Zen Chic, came home from Spring Market with a friend. I've been putting it to good use.  I made the "Groovy Satchel" with every intention of giving it to my friend.  Well, I fell so in love with the fabric that I had used for the flap, that I couldn't give it away.  I just had to keep it for myself.

So, I had to make another one.  I think my friend loves hers as much as I love mine.

And then because I just couldn't help myself, I went out to Katja's and picked up this Linen from a Sweetwater line.  I had repurposed the hardware from a purse I had picked up at a thrift store, so the strap is a little narrower than the pattern.  I also decided to put a zippered pocket in the lining so I'll have a safe place for my keys.  The pattern is the "Pleated Shoulder Bag."

You can check out my purses at Katja's, and pick up the book while you are there. You won't be sorry!
