A Week Away

Last week Doug and I escaped on a little hot springs tour.  Canyon, Nakusp and Ainsworth. Great fun!  I did manage to get a little stitching done while traveling.

I finished the binding on this one.  Paulette had given a talk at Rivervalley Quilt Guild on making Shadow Box quilts.  I decided it was the perfect pattern for the Kate Spain line "Canyon."  I will get a better picture of the actual fabric later.

I did get Rosette 6 finished, but you will have to wait till June 1 to see it.  Don't you just love my lime green camping chair?  Perfect for stitching in.

This is the view at Roseberry of the Slocan Lake.  So calm and peaceful.

I made it home in time to make the Postie Wednesday Walk.  We hiked up Battle Bluff to the Cairn.   It's great to look through the signature book and see who else has been there.  A friend had been up there a couple of days earlier and came across a rattlesnake so we were a little cautious.

Linking up with Finish it up Friday!

  5. Linda!! She only demo'ed it 2 weeks ago (less by a couple of days actually) and I am still futzing around about the shadow fabrics!!! Did find a bunch of squares in my stash though. Have not seen a rattlesnake yet but I am sure the day will come.
