The quilt was introduced at Quilt Market last fall. I have been waiting impatiently for the background blue to arrive at Katja's. It finally arrived so the quilt hit the top of the to do list.
I had pictures of the quilting on the original quilt, so I quilted it much the same. The quilt is now hanging at Katja's so pop in if you get a chance and have a look!
This little gem is finally finished. The top was made way back when I was teaching stack-n-whack. At least 13 years ago. Yikes! It has been languishing in my basket of unfinished tops. I pulled it out and quilted it up. It's ready for a new home.
Speaking of my basket of tops. At the start of 2013 I set a goal of having half of the 32 tops finished. Well……….I didn't quite make it. I was down to 19 at the end of the year and then added 4 to it, for a total of 23 unfinished tops. Once again I'm setting a goal of having half of them finished by the end of the year. It's already March, so I had better get at it!
The weather is finally starting to feel like spring. I hope you have sunshine wherever you are! Happy quilting.
Just beautiful! I love both of your quilts and I think you are doing a fine job getting your quilt tops done! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteLove that make a splash! The blue is beautiful. Quilting looks like waves. Gotta love getting some WIPs done. I think the concept is very organic, ebbing and flowing!
ReplyDeleteThis is so striking in person Linda! Lovely
ReplyDeleteYour Slice quilt looks great and the quilting is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if many of us have quilt tops going back 13 years or more!!
Love the colours in that anchor quilt. Looks great! Also, the FMQ is perfect for it.
