Recently I quilted Carla's Morroccan Tiles Quilt. I loved it so much, I had to get started on one of my own.
Now talk about a stash buster! I used 104 strips cut at 2 1/2" to make this quilt. Some of the fabric is at least 18 years old. I know this because I had bought it at a store that has been closed about that long. I mixed in a few newer scraps I had laying around and all in all, I'm very pleased with the result. The fabric I used for the border is a bit of fabric that Carla had given me a while back, and I thought it was the perfect quilt to use it on. Thanks Carla for both the fabric, and the inspiration. I'm not sure when I will get this one quilted, I'm a little pressed for time right now.
I can't let the week go by without showing you the hexagon for week 17. Have a great weekend everyone!
Hey! It's fabulous. I have some of those fabrics. Great job using up the stash.
