Happy World Smile Day!

Yes, the first Friday in October is World Smile Day!  In the words of Charlie Chaplin, "You'll find that life is still worthwhile, if you just smile."  I'm hoping you find lots today to make you smile.

Some of the things that make me smile are:

Taking a few minutes to piece.  I don't always make the time I should to piece things I want.  This is block 5 of the Moda Neighbourhood.  The fabric is "Silver Linings in Color" by Laundry Basket Quilts.

A little free form quilting that includes a feather that just feels right.  I've always loved the quilting process and some days my whole body smiles when it is going well.

Reading a good book.  A quilt book with stories, what more could I want.  This book by Sue Spargo has great instructions and African Folklore stories that still make sense in this crazy world we live in.

And of course, you make me smile.  All my friends and family that support me in my quilt life, as well as my daily life.  There would be no smiles without all of you!

"Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love." - Mother Teresa
